The
invigilator will read through the front of your question paper with you
and tell you how long the examination is. If you have any questions,
doubts or concerns then you should raise your hand. There is
space on your candidate ‘ticket’ to write the start and end times of
your examination (not Year 10 exams).
If you
feel unwell and require assistance you must raise your
hand and wait for an invigilator to come to you.
If you
need extra paper you must raise your hand and wait for an
invigilator to come to you. Do not speak out or leave your seat at any
time during the examination.
You must
be seated not less than five minutes before the examination
begins. Invigilators will mark a register when you respond. If
you arrive late you must report to the school office in
the first instance. You may be admitted to the examination by Mr Waller
(Examinations Officer) or Dr Bennett up to 30 minutes after the
published start time. The examination board will be informed about your
late arrival.
Never
attempt to communicate with or distract any other
candidate in the examination room during an examination. If you disturb
or distract other candidates you run the risk of being expelled
from the examination by the invigilator. The examination boards will
always be informed of such misconduct and they, in their turn, may
disqualify you from all of your examinations. If you are
disqualified from any examination you will be required to repay
the wasted examination fee (which the school pays in advance on your
behalf) for each subject.
Cheating
or other misconduct will be reported immediately to Mr Waller
(Examinations Officer) who is obliged to inform the examination boards.
The examination boards may disqualify and bar the entry of anyone
to further examinations who has been involved in any irregularity or
misconduct.
You will
be given a five minute warning of the approach of the end of the
examination.
If you
finish the examination before the end of the time allowed use the time
to check your work thoroughly.
You
should remain in the examination room until the official finishing time
of the examination. You must not leave the examination room unless you
are given permission by the invigilator.
