Clubs, practices and competitions form a vital extension to the
curriculum at lunchtimes and after school. There are House competitions
in all activities, the highlight being Sports Day in June. The school
has teams in a wide variety of sports, competing in local leagues and
cup competitions. Our teams and individuals continue to maintain very
high standards resulting in many successes in a range of activities. The
recent OFSTED report stated that "inter-school sport is a strong feature
at Hartismere. Matches are played in a variety of sports with
individuals and teams achieving considerable success". We emphasise
enjoyment and an enthusiastic and sporting approach to all sport. | |

         | Many pupils and students have represented North Suffolk in athletics,
cross-country, football, netball, cricket and rounders with a number
going on to achieve success at County level. One pupil has reached
international standard in rugby representing his country against Wales
at Twickenham. We have girls who will represent Norfolk and Suffolk in
        Hockey. |
