Curricular Manager: Mr C Aldous (CAL)

The curriculum sets out to fulfil the aims of the school which are to provide a broad, balanced and relevant education for all our pupils and students.

The National Curriculum has identified certain subjects as "core" and "Foundation" which must be taught. The school can provide parents with details schemes of work and various National Curriculum details if requested.

All Year 7 lessons are taught in mixed ability groups. Subsequent year groupings a rearranged at the discretion of individual departments. Currently English, Science, Mathematics and Modern Languages "set" according to ability, the arrangements being that the setting in one of these subjects does not influence the setting of another. Other subjects are taught as tutor (mixed ability) groups.
